Profile: I come from an editorial background in consumer journalism, so I’ve always enjoyed the story-telling aspect of social media, finding new and creative ways to humanise brands and communicate with consumers. Content is the conversation-starter, the reason to join the conversation and the thought-leadership that’s going to make a consumer see value in and – all importantly – return to your brand. I love watching a great piece of content fly and I love exploring the psychology behind what makes a great piece of content. For me the next big thing is creating multichannel content with the rise of smartphones and tablets; the content needs to be tailored. Magnetic content, content creation and gamification are all set to grow and become the next big things.
